This month officially marks the one year anniversary of MaaS Scotland! 12 months ago the MaaS Scotland team (operated by Technology Scotland and ScotlandIS) embarked on a journey to become the driving force for Mobility as a Service (MaaS) activities in Scotland, establishing a formal network for Scotland’s vibrant MaaS ecosystem and facilitating initiatives that will deliver the benefits of this transformational opportunity to Scotland.
The group has made rapid progress in its first year of operation, growing to a membership of over 60 companies and organisations from across the MaaS supply chain. It is now the largest network of its kind in Europe and continues to grow.
The timeline below highlights some of the key activities from the last 12 months. From our inaugural MaaS Scotland Annual Conference, to the launch of Scotland’s first MaaS trial, and the publication of the MaaS Scotland White Paper, we’re extremely proud of what has been achieved in our first year.
2018 promises to be even more exciting, with the impact of early demonstrators emerging and greater focus on mobility through the UK Industrial Strategy. MaaS Scotland will continue to support its members to maximise this opportunity while providing key events throughout the year that bring the community together to address key challenges.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the engagement and enthusiasm of our members. It has been fantastic to welcome so many companies and organisations to MaaS Scotland and we look forward to working with you all to grow this vibrant ecosystem, progress project delivery, and create an environment that will ensure the full potential of MaaS in Scotland is realised.
In the short term, make sure to sign up to our Rural Connected Transport Workshop in May and the MaaS Scotland Annual Conference in June – hope to see you there!
