ESPRIT Demonstration Event: Workshop and Demonstration of ESPRIT vehicles and road train

When: Wednesday 12th September 2018

Where: Unit 204 Evolution Court, Hillington Park, Glasgow

ESPRIT is an EU-funded Horizon 2020 project, which is working on building a lightweight stackable electric vehicle for one-way car-sharing. One-way car-sharing is a good solution to car-free mobility, enabling first and last mile public transport journeys and city centre mobility.  Its main drawback is the high cost of vehicle redistribution to allow supply to meet demand.  The innovative lightweight electric ESPRIT vehicle overcomes this by allowing redistribution in road trains, minimising personnel costs, and maximising vehicle availability (see picture below). The project is moving into its final phase, and as part of that we are organising final demonstration events at our three sites (Lyon, Glasgow and L’Hospitalet). Further information about the ESPRIT project can be found on our project website: www.esprit-transport-system.eu

The event in Glasgow will have two sessions: a morning session and an afternoon session. Each session will include demonstrations of the ESPRIT vehicle and road train, an opportunity to ride in the ESPRIT vehicle and presentations by the project coordinator Valéry Cervantes. You are invited to attend either the morning or afternoon session at your convenience. There will also be a lunch and exhibition (between 12pm and 2pm), which will include a further opportunity for testing the ESPRIT vehicle. See the agenda below for more information.

We would be grateful if you could advise on whether you will be able to take up this invitation, and if so, whether you will be attending the morning or afternoon session (please email [email protected])
